Special Lecture on “Cyber Crime and Cyber Safety” Organized at Motherhood University, Roorkee

On the occasion of National Cyber Security Awareness Week, Motherhood University, Roorkee organized a special lecture on the theme “Cyber Crime and Cyber Safety.”

The session aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of cyber security and the growing threat of cybercrimes in the digital era.
Dr. Ravindra Kumar Vishwakarma, Head, Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, shared valuable insights on cyber safety practices such as:

• Using strong and secure passwords

• Adopting two-factor authentication

• Avoiding suspicious links and online scams

• Reporting incidents of cyber fraud to the appropriate authorities

Prof. (Dr.) Narendra Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Motherhood University, congratulated the department for the successful organization of the event and emphasized that such awareness programs play a vital role in enhancing both the knowledge and safety of students in the digital age.
